The Army provided books and stationary items to an orphanage at Sunderbani today. The ceremony was attended by 42 students, 20 Staff members and 110 locals. Books ranging on varied topics including, motivational, cultural, historical and education were gifted. Recreational items including stationery were also provided to enhance co-curricular skills of the residents.
The children staying at the orphanage are from remote areas and belong to underprivileged families. The initiative has been undertaken on request from the staff of the orphanage to assist the children in building their confidence, knowledge and to imbibe the habit of reading books.
